WASHINGLEY, a parish in the hundred of NORMAN-CROSS, county of HUNTINGDON, 1½ mile (W.) from Stilton, containing 91 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, united to that of Lutton, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough. There being no church the inhabitants attend at Lutton. This

The parish of Washingley was in the Peterborough Registration District from 1st July 1837. Subsequently it became part of the Stilton sub-District. It is now again part of the Peterborough Registration District, where it is still kept apart from Folksworth. |
