GIDDING (STEEPLE), a parish in the hundred of LEIGHTONSTONE, county of HUNTINGDON, 6 miles (S.W. by S.) from Stilton, containing 93 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Huntingdon, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £8.17.8½. J. Heathcote, Esq. was patron in 1807. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew. This
