Brief Description:

BROUGHTON, a parish in the hundred of HURSTINGSTONE, county of HUNTINGDON, 5¾ miles (N.E. by N.) from Huntingdon, containing 351 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Huntingdon, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £21.3.9., and in the patronage of the Rev. Thomas Johnstone. The church is dedicated to All Saints.

Broughton was originally in the St. Ives Registration District from 1st July 1837. Subsequently, it was in the Warboys sub-District. From 1st April 1997, it comes directly under the Huntingdon Registration District.
